Building and Maintaining Workplace Culture with Virtual or Hybrid Teams
Office culture affects the workplace and can directly impact employees’ performance and overall mood. In fact, up to 56% of employees find a good workplace culture to be more important than salary (Glassdoor, 2019). Your workplace culture is at the heart of your organization, a combination of the business’s values, mission, and goals. It is not built overnight but through an ongoing participatory effort from the entire company.
Culture is not just something you design, it is what you do every day, what you tolerate and how you respond to each interaction.
While many businesses are adjusting to having employees both in-office and remote, creating a workplace culture has become more important but also more challenging. Understanding how to manage a hybrid workforce effectively is key to creating a positive workplace culture that ensures all employees are provided access to the same materials, technology and lines of communication.
There is no one silver bullet, but no one should have to figure this out alone.
